Predominantly based in Western Pennsylvania, photographer John Wyatt is known for his photographs of heavily tattooed individuals and professional fighters. He has photographed Bubash and the two have repeatedly exhibited their work together throughout the course of their 40-year friendship. In addition to two monographs of his work, Under My Skin (2003) and Tough Guys (2013), Wyatt’s photographs have been published in multiple magazines and books. He has exhibited in numerous galleries and museums including the Griffin Museum of Photography (Belmont, MA), the Mesa Contemporary Arts Museum (Mesa, AZ), the New York Historical Society Museum, and the The Monmouth Museum (Lincroft, NJ), among many others. Wyatt’s latest photographic project focuses on the residents of the Salton Sea in Bombay Beach, California.
