An early 20th century oil painting on canvas board by well-listed American artist Colin Campbell Cooper (California/Pennsylvania, 1856 – 1937). The image depicts the well-furnished interior of a parlour room in an affluent estate. The artist’s signature is signed to the lower left. This painting is presented in a wooden plein air frame with a gold tone finish, equipped to hang.

Colin Campbell Cooper was internationally recognized for his Impressionist depictions of landscapes, florals scenes, figures, portraits, and interiors. His works are in the represented in the permanent collections of numerous prestigious institutions, including the Art Club of Philadelphia, the Boston Art Club, the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Dallas Art Association, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, the Reading Museum, the Lotos Club in New York City, and the St. Louis Museum of Fine Arts, among dozens of others.
