Jack Meanwell was born in Windsor, Canada, and taught at the Cincinnati Art Academy for over twenty five years. He studied at the Detroit Art Academy and the Society of Arts and Crafts. Cincinnati abstract artist painted in a wide spectrum from realism to abstract art, but he was well known for his dramatic landscapes painted in bright colors and bold strokes.
