An original oil on canvas by listed artist Istvan Zador (Hungary, 1882 – 1963), titled ‘A Typical Jewish Home in Budapest,’ a post impressionist interior scene of a finely appointed home, with Baroque furnishings and masters paintings, a Persian rug offsetting the deep green walls. Signed in the lower right, the piece is housed in a distressed finish wooden molding frame with a foliate pattern in gesso, with a gold velveteen insert. The painting is signed in the lower right.
Condition
Good, a minor sag in the canvas, a small scratch in the upper mid section of the canvas, minor wear to the frame.
