K.C. Truschel was an unknown, self-taught painter from Bradford Woods near Pittsburgh. He painted from 1962-1967 and his work was never shown during his lifetime. His paintings often display themes of man’s shortcomings. His work was exhibited at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in 2002.

Condition

- light discoloration to painting; accretion to surface; bow to painting board; wear to frame finish and separation at corner joins; wooden support slats to verso of panel are coming away, and corner block to the lower right is split.
