A splendid, circa 1950 hand painted Bavarian porcelain figure of a female courtesan, in the attire of the early 19th century, well modeled, hand painted with delicate facial features, her Josephine gown painted with flowers, standing on a naturalistic rocaille ground. Marked on the base. From the bonnet on her head, to her purse, to the bows on her slippers, the piece is a fine example of German porcelain.

Condition

A few light firing cracks on the underside of the base.
