Vintage Japanese Tea Set

A vintage Japanese porcelain tea set includes six tea cups, one teapot, one creamer, one covered sugar and six tea saucers, all with a crane motif, with what appears to be a variant Kutani mark. Card included reads ‘This Japanese tea set was given as a gift to Dr. and Mrs. Gorbold by Dr. Gorbold’s bother, Ray Gorbold, who was a missionary from this church to Japan in the early 1900s. Mrs. Gorbold willed it to Ora Jane Blair’.

Condition

1 tea cup has been cracked and repaired.
