Berkey & Gay Dining Room Table and Chairs

A Berkey and Gay Jacobean Revival dining room table and chairs, circa 1920-1940’s. The oak table has lovely quartered oak veneer border. The outside edge of the table has applied black wood accent in linear and dot pattern. The table has trestle style base with turned wood legs featuring fluted round melon blossom turnings leading to base that has medallion style accents to curved fluted bases and finished with a straight stretcher. Includes two matched but not married leaves. The chairs include one captain chair and five armless chairs. The chairs have oak frames with pierced back and carved back splat and crest. The chair back has applied oval medallions and fluted sides to the back. The chairs are upholstered in chenille striped fabric and are finished with turned wood legs and arrow feet.

Condition

Fair to good – The chairs are a little wobbly. There are some stains to the fabric. There are nicks to wood consistent with age.
