Item Details
Edmond Lachenal (French,1855–1948 is considered an innovator and a pivotal figure in Art Nouveau ceramic art, whose work is held in the Louvre and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He received a gold medal at the Paris World’s Fair in 1889, after which he began to develop new glazing techniques using acid to create matte surfaces.
