Peter Rappoli was born in Massachusetts in 1947 and is known for large abstract oil paintings, intimate gouache paintings, and delicate ink drawings. His works are influenced by Dutch masters, DC comics, and Japanese woodblocks. Rappoli received a BFA in painting from Boston University. His work can currently be viewed at the Danforth Museum, Massachusetts; The New Britain Museum of American Art, Connecticut; and The Rose Art Museum, Massachusetts.

Condition

- frame rub and wear to painting edges with some paint loss and holes worn through canvas in corners and along 5" section of edge to the upper left; surface scuffs and accretion throughout; fraying to canvas edges.
