George II Sterling Silver Coffee Server, London 1722

Item Details

A George II sterling silver coffee server, partial London hallmark dates the piece to 1722. The coffee server features a domed lid with finial, hand carved wooden handle and an armorial motif engraved to the front which bears a chevron between three chess rooks. The arms possibly pertain to the Walcots, of Walcot in the County of Shropshire. The partial hallmarks are to the back of the piece and indicate the maker as Simon Pantin I.
