A 1970s vintage couture silk crêpe dress attributed to designer James Galanos. The dress is in a 1940s style, designed in light taupe silk crepe with a deep V-neckline, flutter sleeves, piping to flared skirt, and a peek-a-boo open back with zipper. The dress is unlabeled and is attributed to James Galanos. The dress was purchased from the Estate of Betsy Pickering Kaiser.
Betsy Pickering Kaiser was a model, longtime friend and muse for James Galanos. She was on many magazines in the 1970s including the cover of Vogue, Town & Country, and Harper’s Bazaar.
