- overall with various scratches, marks, nicks/chips, cracks, and abrasions consistent with age and use; crest rail with some repairs, including a larger example to the center; arms have been reinforced with later metal brackets where they meet stiles; underside of seat with a couple of later glue blocks; scattered former pest damage (worming) with associated marks/small losses; upholstery is probably later and with some sunfading; fabric on verso of back with some black streaks; other possible imperfections, wear, and repairs/restorations.
