Inscription to the stretcher to the verso appears to read “R. Scoppa 1879”
Condition
- craquelure with some tenting to paint throughout; tear to the canvas to the center at tree; stretcher marks particularly across the upper edge; overpainting throughout particularly to the sky; marks to the lower right and across the sky; canvas relined; drilled holes to the upper right and lower right of the frame; scratches and chipping to the frame.
