Early Edition “The Booke of Faulconrie or Hauking” by George Turberville
Item Details
An early edition of The Book of Faulconrie or Hauking by George Turberville. Attributed as the 1575 first edition on the title page, however it is possible that it is 1611 second edition. When missing the preliminary pages, it is not possible to distinguish the two editions. ESTC record S122514 for the 1575 edition notes that p. 370 is misnumbered as 371. In this copy p. 370 is numbered correctly, although this does not necessarily prove that it is not the 1575 edition, as errors such as these were often corrected during a print run.
