An oil painting by Anthony Biester (1840 – 1917). This painting features two figures on horseback in a forested landscape. This work is signed to the lower center. It is housed in a molded gold toned frame and is equipped to hang.
Biester was born in Cleves, Germany in 1840 and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in 1851. During his life, his work was exhibited at the Chicago Art Institute, Indiana State Expo, and the Cincinnati Art Museum. At the time of his death in 1917 he was the oldest member of Cincinnati Art Club.
