An early 18th century copper plate engraving after Raphael on hand-laid paper. The engraving depicts Raphael’s allegorical Justice which the painter created in the papal palace in the Vatican. The inscription below the image translates approximately as ‘the Justice depicted by Raphael in oil next to the painting of the Battle between Constantine and Maxentius in the Vatican Palace’.
