A Louis Vuitton Paris Monogram Canvas trunk, early 20th century. The trunk features a rectangular, hinged lid opening to a vacant, fabric-lined interior. The exterior is covered in “LV” monogrammed canvas with ‘LV’ embossed leather trim and brass fittings. Additionally, it has frontal latches and a front-mounted, leather handle. The interior retains a label marked “Louis Vuitton/ 799404/ Paris. 70 Champs-Elysees/ 149 New-Bond St. London/ Nice 2. Jardin Albert 1er/ Cannes 10. Rue Des Belges/ Vichy Rue Du Parc’. There are additional maker’s marks to the latches and hardware throughout.
