A vintage hardcover copy of The Gentleman’s Companion Vol. I: Being an Exotic Cookery Book, or, Around the World with Knife, Fork, and Spoon by Charles H. Baker Jr., published in 1939 by the Derrydale Press of New York. It had deckle page edges and a red cloth cover with a red leather spine veneer.
