Thomas Willison was born in Brent, Kentucky and received his artistic training in Cincinnati, Ohio. He attended the Cincinnati School of Art during the time when local artist Frank Duveneck (1848-1919) taught painting. Willison is best known for this Ohio landscapes and river valley scenes.

Condition

- heavy discoloration to painting varnish; scuffs and scratches to painting, notable to upper right; accretion to surfaces; wear with chips and scratches to frame gesso.
