An oil painting on board by British artist Douglas Falconer titled Loch Tay and Ben More: Perthshire Scotland. This landscape painting features a picturesque view of the lake and mountains beyond rendered in soft color and blue-hued light. It is signed to the lower left and presented in a gold tone Rococo Revival style frame with gesso molding. There is an attributing label and wire for hanging to the verso.

Early in his career, Douglas Falconer was an established furniture designer, employed with important commissions including remaking a bomb damaged rostrum at Christie’s auction house. He eventually was recognized for his picturesque landscape paintings, often featuring the Lake District, loch, and mountains in Scotland.
