An 1862 presumed first edition Sketch of the Mode of Manufacturing Gunpowder written by Col. William Anderson. This volume is bound in a blind-stamped blue cloth cover with a gilt impression of a cannon to the front cover, gilt lettering and decoration to the spine and gilded top text edges. Five fold-outs and other illustrations are throughout the text. Errata to back of list of illustrations.
