Deaccessioned from the Art Academy of Cincinnati’s Collection. Proceeds to benefit future student programs. Founded in 1869, The Art Academy of Cincinnati is celebrating their 150th anniversary this year through the sale of limited works in the Collection.
Especially known for his seascape paintings, Frank Myers was a well-known Impressionist who studied and taught at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. His works have been exhibited in several institutions including the National Museum of American Art in Washington D. C., the Museum of New Mexico; the University of Cincinnati; and the Irvine Museum, among others.
Condition
- minor wear throughout the edges of composition; small perforations and wear throughout margins from previous display; neglgible areas of paint loss scattered throughout the composition; under UV light examination minor areas of inpainting are revealed throughout the lower area of painting.
