Influenced by German Expressionism and graffiti elements, Keil is known for his simplified abstractions of traditional art subjects. He studied under Otto Nagel at a young age and developed relationships with other renowned artists such as Joan Miró. As Keil abandoned realism and developed his signature style, he used more vibrant colors rapidly applied with large gestural brushstrokes resembling the abstract style of Picasso.

- abrasions to the acrylic glass; edges of acrylic glass visible at center of frames with acrylic glass somewhat loose; scratches with some paint loss to frame; tape to the verso of the frame.
