Item Details

An antique Japanese katana, 17th or 18th century. Signed nagako, Mizuta Kunishige (水田国重). The verso appears to be dated Kyōhō 3 (享保三) equating to 1718. Constructed with a bronze tsuba, leather ito, shagreen samegawa, gilt metal fuchi and kashira, and leather saya with bronze suspension loop.
