The frame retains remnants of an old, if not original finish. The backboard is applied with a later, paper label reading ‘From Mrs. George L. Freeman / 335 Rich Ave / Mt. Vernon, N.Y.’

- overall with various scratches, dents, marks, small chips, and abrasions consistent with age and use; structurally stable; frame with scattered repairs/restorations, mostly to scrolled elements; mirror plate with losses to silvering; lower, left corner of pine backboard with a small break (loose but included).
