A collection containing an oil painting by Frank Cohen Kirk (Russian/American, 1889 – 1963), two gelatin silver photographs of his work, two halftone prints of his work, and a book titled Frank C. Kirk. The oil painting on canvas board depicts a rural landscape at the base of a mountain. It is signed to the lower left and housed in a period carved wood frame. The gelatin silver photographs are by Oliver Baker Photography and Colten Photos photography studios and each is stamped to the verso. The book is hardbound with text in English and Hebrew script. It was published in 1964 by Yiddisher Kultur Farband (YKUF) and Frank C. Kirk Book Committee in New York.
Frank C. Kirk was a Jewish artist born in Zitomir, Russia (now part of the Ukraine). In the midst of the political unrest, he and his family immigrated to the United States where Kirk attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and later earned a scholarship to study in Europe. His work is in numerous private collections and museums including the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museum of Western Art in Moscow, and the Philadelphia Art Museum.

- punctures to the verso of oil painting creating cracks, lifting, and loss to paint to building to the left and to the mountain at center; discolored mark to the upper right corner of painting; scratches and frame rub to the edges of painting; finish loss, chipping, and abrasions throughout frame; binding of book shaken; hinges somewhat loose; some toning to pages; abrasions and wear to the clothbound cover.
