Hip hip hooray! IT’S EARTH DAY!

2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Founded in 1970 by Wisconsin senator Gaylord Nelson, Earth Day started as a teach-in for environmental issues. 50 years later Earth Day is still encouraging us to learn about and get engaged with sustainable activities. Here at EBTH helping our community while finding new homes for items is our passion. By shopping with us you can positively impact the Earth, one item at a time.

Why shop secondhand?

• Fewer items in landfills. 80% of clothing is thrown away within a year of being purchased, this equates to more than 10 million tons of fabric ending up in landfills yearly.
  
  
• Fewer resources wasted. It takes 1,800 gallons of water to produce one pair of blue jeans. Buying pre-owned can save up to 18 billion gallons of water annually. That’s a lot of water…
