Disneyana refers to a wide variety of Walt Disney Company produced and licensed memorabilia, including Disney toys and games, dolls and figurines, collectible animation cels and artwork, Walt Disney World and Disneyland theme park souvenirs, jewelry, apparel and decor. The Disneyana fanbase is also one of the most dedicated and passionate groups of collectors in the world. Used informally by Disney memorabilia collectors in the 1960s, the term “Disneyana” became the official term in 1974, when Cecil Munsey published his book Disneyana: Walt Disney Collectibles. Today, Disneyana collectors gather from across the globe to attend events and conventions, such as the Official Disneyana Convention and the D23 Expo, which is organized by the official Walt Disney Fan Club.
