A Blue Italian earthenware tureen and underplate by Spode. This blue dinnerware pattern is adapted from a 17th century painting depicting a scene of Italian ruins and an Asian floral border. This newer version of the pattern is active since 1962. The rectangular tureen features truncated corners, and a footed base. It includes a shaped handle on the lid, with a ladle, and a rectangular plate. Marked ‘Spode, Made in England, and Italian.’ The pieces are dishwasher safe and microwave safe.
