Louis XVI Style Marble Topped Demilune Console Table

A vintage Louis XVI style demilune console table. The table has a thick rust colored marble top with heavy white and pale grey veining over a half-round cabinet with three stacked drawers to the center over a foliate carved serpentine apron and four cabriole legs terminating with whorl feet. The cabinet’s paneled front is finished with honey-stained book-matched veneering framed with crossbanded veneers to the edge. Decoration includes bellflower swag inlays, round and oval medallions, and a marquetry style pastoral shield to the center of the drawer fronts. The cabinet is unmarked.
