Why doesn’t my old website Sign In information work?

If you were a bidder from the old site, your information was imported to the new website. Passwords less than 6 characters are not valid. If your password was less than six characters, it will need to be reset. If you click Sign In, you will notice to the left of the screen a link entitled FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD? Clicking this link will generate a password reset email to the specified email address. This email address needs to have been used on our site previously.

If you had multiple bidder profiles, the highest numbered profile was used. Only one bidder profile is allowed per email address. Use the email address that was registered with us previously to Sign In if your bidder number is not recognized.

How do I reset my password?

If you are already signed in, click MY ACCOUNT in the upper right hand corner and select MY INFO. Passwords can be reset here.

Why do I have to input credit card information to Sign Up?

As with any business exposed to the internet, issues have arisen with fraudulent bidder identities. By validating card information, we protect our bidders and sellers from false bidding by cross referencing the card billing address and the bidder information.

If security is a concern, your card information is not stored on our servers. We utilize a card processor by the name of Stripe. Stripe is a Level 1 PCI compliant service provider. Stripe issues a token which is stored in your profile on our servers. It represents your card information and can only be used to process a transaction through Stripe. AES-256 bit encryption is used when communicating new card information between servers. Stripe is used by Fortune 500 companies! We left security to the experts.

As always, you can still pay by check or cash at pickup if you so choose.

Where can I find or update my account information?

In the upper right hand corner of the website on the navigation bar, a pull down menu entitled MY ACCOUNT exists. This menu allows you to change personal info, addresses, payment methods, and see previous purchases.

How do I review all of my bids in one place?

The I’m Following list is a new tool to allow bidders to track items of interest as well as items for which bids have been placed. If you bid on an item, it will be added to this list. If you only want to follow an item for future bidding or just to watch the final sales price, click the Follow button on any item and it will also be added to this list. The I’m Following list can be found at the top of any EBTH webpages in the navigation bar.

Can I see the description of an item without opening a detailed view?

If you are viewing items within Grid View, you can hover over the image with your cursor or mouse to see a brief description of the item. This allows you to learn a little more without opening the full item detail.

What happened to the search box that was displayed with each sale?

In the upper right hand corner of any EBTH webpage, the search box can be found. You can search for both Active and Archived Items.

Can I get a shipping estimate directly from the website?

In the detailed view of an Item, you will notice a tab entitled Pickup & Shipping Options under the images. Click on this tab. The Shipping and Delivery box now visble will help you determine shipping costs. If the box reads Generate a quote, you can use your shipping address to determine the shipping costs. If it reads An estimate will be emailed, the Item requires custom shipping and a shipping provider will contact you with shipping information at your request.

Can I pay for my purchase through the website?

An hour after a sale closes, winning bidder invoices will be posted to their I’ve Won list on the top navigation bar of the website. If you click on the Checkout button, shipping and payment options can be selected. You can opt to use the credit card on file to pay for your items. If you are picking up at a sale location, this is a great way to save time. Simply show up and get your item. No waiting in payment lines!
